e Staff f Executive Chef Kevin Krommer, formerly
of the Colonial Restaurant and with more than 35 years of experience, has
headed Colonial Caterer since its inception in 1990. Shortly after the startup, Kevin was able
to convince Brian Wrubleski, a very prominent caterer in his own right, to
join the staff. A few years later, Brian moved on and Kevin promoted Tom
Hoenig with his 20 years as Kevin's Assistant Chef to Director of Catering,
the position that he holds today. In 1997, due to the progressive
increase in business, it was necessary to add to the management
staff. After 4 months of interviews, Kevin hired Joan Crane to the
position of Function Coordinator. Having been trained by Marriot Hotels,
she was perfect for the job. She also still holds the position. During these years, two of the more
memorable accomplishments were achieving certification to work out of
Mechanics Hall in Worcester and the Botanical Gardens in West
Boylston. Having catered for Senator Ted Kennedy as well as 300 other
guests was also a night to remember. Recently, Colonial Caterer served
more than 1000 people at Narragansett Beach, RI. The year 2002 brought about another
opportunity. Kevin and Colonial Caterer signed a management contract
with the Webster Lodge of Elks regarding all room rentals and food
service. This was a real coup for both parties involved. The
Webster Elks could benefit from Kevin's years of experience, and Colonial
Caterer would be fortunate enough to be working our of one of the largest and
most conveniently located banquet centers in the area. While the Webster Elks have one of the
largest banquet rooms in the area, seating 400 people, there was a demand for
a more intimate room. As of 2004 we now offer a newly renovated room on
the lower level that seats 70 people. Executive
